Gaistal with Dogs
Gaistal is dog-friendly β on many paths and at many huts, four-legged friends are warmly welcome. Here you'll find all the information for a relaxed outing with your dog.
Important Notes
- π Livestock: Cows and sheep graze in Gaistal. Always keep dogs on a leash when livestock is nearby β even well-trained dogs can startle animals.
- π§ Cattle grids: Some paths have cattle grids. Carry small dogs over them.
- π Alpine huts: Not every hut allows dogs indoors β outside they are usually welcome. If in doubt, just ask.
- π§ Water: Gaistal has several streams β plenty of drinking water for your dog along the way.
