Gaistal is in Tyrol, just beyond Leutasch — easily reachable from Innsbruck, Munich and across the Alps.
🚗 By Car
From Innsbruck: A12 motorway towards Munich → exit Telfs → Leutasch → Leutasch-Gasse → Gaistal toll road. About 45 minutes.
From Munich: A95 towards Garmisch → Mittenwald → Scharnitz → Seefeld → Leutasch. About 1.5 hours.
From Garmisch-Partenkirchen: Via Mittenwald or Ehrwald → Leutasch. About 30 minutes.

🅿️ Parking
At the end of the toll road there are two car parks with approximately 150 spaces in total. Capacity is limited.
Weekends & Public Holidays
On busy days (July/August, weekends) car parks are often full by 10:00. Arriving before 9:00 is recommended — or use bus & train.
No overnight parking in the car parks. Motorhomes should park at the access point.
🚌 By Bus & Train
From Innsbruck: Regional train to Seefeld (Karwendel Railway), then bus to Leutasch (line 408). Journey time approx. 60 minutes.
From Munich: Bavarian Highlands Railway to Garmisch, then to Mittenwald, bus to Leutasch.
Gaistal Shuttle: During peak season (July–August) there is a shuttle bus from Leutasch into Gaistal. Current times from TVB Leutasch.
